Adversity reveals the content of our morals and the integrity of our character. When we hit the lowest point of our lives in 2018, we saw who stood up and walked by our sides. That was true for friends and brands alike.

We received a message on Instagram by a small Chilean brand called Pichi Bags.  They showed us love and support at this difficult moment and even made us two custom chalkbags of paisley-bandana-print. We didn’t know who this person was, but were deeply moved by their gesture. We just referred to them as “Pichi.”

During that time of adversity, we saw the potential to do something new.  We launched LOV.  One of our top priorities was curating upcycles of limited products to avoid adding to landfills. “Upcycling” is to reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.  We’ve been compiling and collecting from vintage/thrift shops and flea-markets for the past few years, knowing that one day we would integrate these efforts into our brand.

To segway into the next phase, LOV has teamed up with Pichi, who, we learned, is an woman named Carolina Maragaño. Carolina is from Santiago, founded her brand in 2017 and she also shares a passion for upcycling. She sources all of the materials (denim, cotton, nylon, etc.) to reuse in her 100% handmade chalkbags.

Pichi Bags, like us, believes in second chances. A collab between our brands only made sense, and fortunately Carolina wholeheartedly agreed.

We are proud to introduce the “LOV PICHI” capsule.

The LOV-PICHI collab will donate 50% of our profits to Andescalada, which is a Chilean organization similar to the Access Fund. They make efforts to protect recreational climbing areas through rebolting, building community, and spreading awareness.

We hope this collab inspires you to reconsider something or someone that deserves a second chance. There’s overlooked potential everywhere if you simply keep an open mind.
